In the first century A.D. when Rome ruled the known world, a female warrior in the far-flung province of Britain led a revolt that shook the foundations of the empire, with Alex Kingston ("Moll Flanders") as Boudica the Warrior Queen.
The real Queen Boudica is a fascinating figure who makes a brief but stunning appearance in a work by the first century Roman historian, Tacitus: "The whole nation, took up arms, under the command of Boudica, a woman of royal blood... ."
